   HOW THEY MET

 Judy met Cathy  in 2004  at  the Fitness Forum and learned they each loved to sing & both went to the Gainesville 1st United Methodist Church.  They also decided they'd like to sing together at some point.  In early 2008, this finally became a reality when Judy was asked to perform at various local events after the success her songs were receiving that had been released worldwide on WHP  comp. CD releases.   Judy didn't want to do a "One Woman" show as she'd done in the past & remembered that Cathy has expressed an interest in performing with her...so she called her to be in the Firesong duo. Cathy agreed and her husband David does the sound for them.

Judy has had or been in many groups in the past 20 years, with names such as RHAPSODY,  JUDY & NICK AT NIGHT, COMMAND PERFORMANCE, etc.  She now has a duo with Cathy Squires called FIRESONG, that performs at local events and at venues in  Gainesville, GA.

Variety:   Singing standards in AC Pop, Country & Gospel, duo also sings some of Judy Welden’s
originals. Judy, a singer/songwriter, rec. artist with 6 CDs, has been on the Roots International Charts      for 18 months straight, with numerous #1 songs and many more in the Top 10. Cathy Squires, a music major, is a versatile vocalist and entertainer, having sung with her family Gospel group for years.

Audience Participation: Judy & Cathy like to get those present involved in the show.

Trax:  You get a big sound as duo uses background trax from Judy’s original music or trax from
songs everyone knows.

Affordable:  $100 ( 45 min. show)   $125 - $150 - $200 ( 1, 1½ or 2 hour shows)

Addl. Singer:  If budget allows, 3rd singer and/or musician added.  Talented Donna Hubbard is one we have used.  This feature suitable for those events where live musician (s) or bigger sound is desired.
